It’s the Lake Elsinore Storm’s Home Opener for the 2026 season. Come see me retrieve bats for my second full season with the San Diego Padres Class-A affiliate, the Lake Elsinore Storm!

It’s also long-time host and Emcee Kaz Egan’s farewell game as he moves on to take over the host duties for the Firefighters of Banana Ball. It’s surely a game you will remember for a long time. The Storm open their home series vs. rival the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

The Lake Elsinore Storm have been the Minor League Baseball (MiLB) Class-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres since 2001. 2026 marks Omaha the Bat Dog’s second full season with the Lake Elsinore Storm as their official bat dog.
This long-standing partnership represents over two decades of player development in the California League. Some notable Storm alumni include Jake Peavy, Chase Headley, Corey Kluber and Jackson Merrill.
